Overseas top-up is a scammer's paradise: you hold foreign currency wanting domestic services, and the information gap is their business. Here are the most common schemes — each with real-world patterns.
"648 points at half price" — anything far below the official channel is bait: either take the money and vanish, or top you up with stolen cards (your account gets banned as an accomplice).
Rule of thumb: legitimate sites hover near official pricing; nobody sustains half price.
Anyone asking for your account + password (or SMS codes) is dangerous at best: account looting at minimum, illegal activity in your name at worst. Legit direct top-up needs only your UID.
Never share passwords or SMS codes with anyone.
"Personal sellers" in group chats take your transfer and disappear — no platform guarantee, no recourse.
Only trade on platforms with real order systems — every transaction has an order number.
After you pay, "support" reaches out: "order abnormal, refund verification needed" — then a phishing page for your card details.
Real support talks only via on-site tickets; anyone adding you privately is fake.
A lookalike domain with an identical page — your payment lands in their pocket. Check the domain spelling before paying.
